Macro of forest mushroom

Forest mushrooms

Nikon D80, Sigma 18-55.

Forest is like a multilevel palace: you can find beautiful things on every single level. This time I focused on the ground, looking for this small world under our foot.

Macro photo of cone

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

Photo taken in the very late afternoon, in last rays of sun which gave beautiful orange color on cone.

Macro close up of spider on his web

Spider's hunt

Nikon D80, Sigma 18-55, macro filter.

One of the first photos taken with macro filter which gives amazing close up but very small DOF (Depth of field) and needs a lot of light - good thing is that I had a lot of backlight.

Waterfall colours macro photo

Waterfall of colours

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

Macro photography of flowers is boring? Right, but still there's a chance of taking an interesting photo. Best thing about this one is not a flower itself but great composition of colours in the background.

Photo of flowers with beautful light flares

Heading to the light

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

There's nothing special about this photo except relaxing atmosphere and great memories of this summer time. Want to add some magic to otherwise boring shot? Point your lens just almost exacly to the sun and enojy light flares.

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

Bee at work

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300

Good thing about long focal length is that you don't need fancy filters and intense postprocessing to get incredible colours and great final effect. Downside is that you need good conditions to take this kind of photo.

leafs macro with smoothe bokeh

It's light in here

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

Nothing happens here. And yet it's kind of interesting.

Macro photography of flowers

Alien world

Nikon D80, Sigma 70-300.

Disturbing, alien flowers in cold summer light.
